Autumn in The Trossachs

20/10/2016

Autumn is a very special time to visit  Callander & The Trossachs, a time of nature’s plenty with nuts, seeds and berries in the hedgerows and woodlands and a time of change as the surrounding native woodlands are transformed by the glorious autumn colours.

The Trossachs natural scenic beauty is stunning at any time of year  but autumn has been described as it’s “finest hour” by nature writer Jim Crumley.   Step out in to The Trossachs this autumn, the entire area is a paradise for walkers and photographers.  The Brig o’ Turk Loop at Glen Finglas featured in The Guardian’s “20 Great UK walks with Pubs, Chosen by Nature Writers”  and  is just one of the many wonderful walks waiting to be explored ,  from gentle woodland walks  to challenging hill paths, there’s something for everyone.

As Hallowe’en approaches families can enjoy a magical ranger-led walk through the atmospheric oak woodlands  at “Light Up Your Lantern” on Saturday 29th October - Read more
