Callander's Calendar- What's On in Callander, The Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park - 2018
Callander hosts a variety of cultural and sporting events throughout the year.
Three annual events that visitors and residents of Callander look forward to are:
The opening ceremony and parade that marks the start of the salmon fishing season on the River Teith on February 1st and The Callander Jazz and Blues Festival that runs annually for 3 days at the start of October.
Callander Highland Games which take place in July are world famous and provide lots of fun for locals and visitors alike.
Throughout the year there are farmers markets, sporting events and various festivals taking place in and around Callander. Destination Callander regularly updates the Events Diary to keep you informed.

Loch Katrine Experience - Sail on The Steamship Sir Walter Scott
Sail on stunning Loch Katrine aboard the iconic Steamship Sir Walter Scott. This trip is an absolute "must do" when visiting the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The scenery around the loch is breathtaking and the area is steeped in history, from Rob Roy Mcgregor, to the romantic poem "Lady of The Lake" by Sir Walter Scott, and the brilliant feat of Victorian engineering which allows Loch Katrine to provide a clean and wholesome water supply for the City of Glasgow.

Doune Hill Climb Car Competition: 14th/15th April 23rd/24th June 15th/16th September 2018
Track adjacent to the Scottish Antiques Centre, Doune , Perthshire
Come and enjoy the spectacle of powerful cars climbing the twisty one and half mile track against the clock. Wander round the paddock, see the cars and drivers up close. A great day out for all petrolheads.
Charity Classic Car Show- Sunday 13th May 2018- Bridge of Allan Games Park, By Stirling - 11am
Stirling and District Classic Car Club organise this annual show, one of the largest in Scotland, to raise funds for local charities.
See over 600 classic cars, motorbikes and commercial vehicles of all ages, autojumble, and fairground rides for the kids.
Over the years more than £60000 has been given to local charities, so please come and support us.

Gardens and Gardening
GARGUNNOCK HOUSE GARDEN
Large mature garden just five miles from Stirling, with Walled Garden, well established house garden, woodland walks with species and hybrid rhododendrons, massed plantings of azaleas and wonderful specimen trees. Snowdrops in February/March, over 40 varieties of daffodils in bloom in April and the glorious display of Azaleas and Rhododendrons in May. Later in the year it is a delight to see the late season colours from the many wonderful trees along the drive to the house in Autumn. The three acre Walled Garden is being fully restored with perennial borders, cut flower beds, kitchen garden with newly planted orchard. We have picnic benches and seating in the Walled Garden area. New arboretum of specialist trees was planted in spring 2016.
