The natural beauty of The Trossachs landscape that surrounds Callander has inspired many artists for hundreds of years.  Today this beautiful area continues to attract and inspire many artists.  This week they are busy preparing for Perthshire Open Studios – this special 9 day event starts on Saturday 3rd September 2016 until Sunday 11 September.  It’s a unique opportunity to visit and meet artists in their studios and buy original artwork direct from the artists at very affordable price – with prices starting from just £1 at many of the venues

Callander has 4 fantastic venues offering an inspiring array of original artwork and crafts, the perfect place to find an unusual gift or a beautifully handcrafted souvenir of Scotland.

It’s “Schrowtime” in Callander, come and meet the artists:
Lynne & Jim Schroder – quirky copper & wood sculpture, mixed media and fused glass.  A unique opportunity to visit the Schrowtime studio and sculpture garden.  
Several other artists will also be exhibiting at the Schrowtime studio:  
Diane Young – unique 3D painting and scalpel cut paper, paint and printing art.
Michael Young - acrylics/oils and mixed media.
Carol Russell – stained glass and leather journals.
Gavin Waugh – functional steel art.
Judy Reed – Mosaics of sea glass & recycled items

Lots of local Callander artists, crafters and creators stock this lovely shop with their  original arts, crafts and creations – you'll find everything from watercolours, tweed, hand finished cards, beautifully turned wood, mosaic, jewellery, glass, felting, pottery and so much more.  

Venue 53 - Woolshed31-  31 Bridgend, Callander, FK17 8AJ 

Keen knitters will love Woolshed 31. Perthshire Open Studios is a unique opportunity to visit Anne in her studio where she creates beautiful yarns.  

Venue 54 - Galleria Luti -  16 Ancaster Square, Callander, FK17 8BL  

A beautiful gallery in the heart of Callander with a strong emphasis on colour.  Stunning Contemporary Scottish Art, handcrafted jewellery and high calibre craftwork.
